FarmtoPlate is setting up a blockchain product research and development team to deliver world-class enterprise grade Distributed Ledger Technology Networks for the food and beverage industry ecosystem. We are seeking an DevOps Engineer with 7+ years of experience to join our dynamic and innovative team. As an DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with our development, operations, and infrastructure teams to enhance our cloud infrastructure and automate deployment processes. You will primarily be responsible for managing our AWS environment, implementing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, and maintaining our Kubernetes clusters.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure using AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others, to support our applications and services.
  • Develop and maintain advanced infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources at scale.
  • Architect and optimize the performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness of our cloud infrastructure, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment using industry- leading tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to define and implement best practices for software builds, deployments, and release management in a highly agile environment.
  • Implement comprehensive security measures to protect our infrastructure and applications, including access controls, monitoring, and compliance enforcement.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure automation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
  • Mentor and coach junior members of the team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a proven track record of success in designing and managing complex cloud infrastructures./span>
  • Extensive expertise in AWS services, including EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Mastery of infrastructure as code principles and practices, with advanced proficiency in Terraform and a deep understanding of Terraform best practices.
  • Strong command of Kubernetes operations, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline, with experience implementing automated deployment pipelines for large-scale applications.
  • Proficient scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell, with a focus on building robust and scalable automation solutions.
  • Solid grasp of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices in cloud environments, with experience implementing and managing security controls and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
